Charlotte, NC; September 27, 2012 — DecisionPoint, a leader in M&A advisory services for middle-market technology companies, announced today that its client Mentora Group (“Mentora”), a provider of managed hosting, managed services and application performance testing with locations in Atlanta, Northern Virginia, Dallas and Boston, has been acquired by Forsythe Technology (“Forsythe”), an information technology (IT) infrastructure integrator. This acquisition helps Forsythe expand its managed and professional services business and is Forsythe’s ninth major acquisition in the last 11 years.
“Acquiring Mentora is a transformational step for Forsythe,” says Bill Brennan, Forsythe president and CEO. “Mentora brings top-tier leadership and specialized skills around managed hosting, managed services and application performance testing. The acquisition will help Forsythe in its strategy to grow its managed and professional services. Mentora’s comprehensive managed hosting services include managed network, storage, systems compute and database services. Their process and skill sets in all these areas will enable Forsythe to expand its managed services beyond security and network to include all areas of IT infrastructure.”
“Forsythe offers unparalleled infrastructure solutions. Plugging Mentora into the Forsythe family will bring Forsythe customers a unique one-stop-shop approach to all their data center solutions needs.” said Doug Ellis, Managing Partner at DecisionPoint.
“We are very excited about this acquisition by Forsythe and what it will mean for our customers,” says Kathryn Saunders, Mentora president and chief operating officer. “Bridging our services with those of Forsythe will allow us to offer a greater range of IT solutions including IT strategy, data center engineering and migration, IT operations, and risk mitigation, as well as technology solutions and financial services. Like Mentora, Forsythe is committed to a high-touch customer model and we feel it is a perfect match.”
